‘Ditiching court’

Pen on paper. 2011

‘Ditching court’ was started on the way to a change of Crowns in the West kingdom. (Sacramento)

This illustration was done entirely in pen on a heavy ‘waxy’ paper used specifically for illustration Prisma pens. There is little to no bleed through, and minimal smudging.

The total time for this illustration was around 6 hours.

~Here we find Aurora sneaking out of court during a lengthy stretch of speeches by Land Barons pledging their fidelity to her cousin, the newly crowned Emperor.

Siraj is in the background watching her hurry down the main hall,he looks surprised. Aurora, obviously too distracted to notice him amongst the courtiers and citadel rabble, darts on down the hall.
